I came across an article a few days ago in a reputed paper about how we are eating too much of crap that’s known to cause cancer. I was simply shocked coz most of them were my favorite foods. So I wanted to share that information with u people ,but before that I had to a lot of research to make this post genuine. I ended up reading articles in various magazines health websites for 3-4 he’s today. So here I am with the list of things. I reduced scientific terms as much as possible. Get ready for the shock.

FAST-FOOD

This is just a random list not in order of priority.

1.HIGHLY PROCESSED FLOUR.

The  flour which looks so white & so good is not good at all. The processing contains of bleaching with chlorine gas. These foods are a reason for obesity, diabetes , cancer.

2.MICROWAVED POPCORN.

Not every type but the microwaved popcorn is dangerous. The bags in which this kind of popcorn contain a chemical called PFOA. This is responsible for infertility in women & multiple cancers.

3. ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS.

When artificial sweeteners came to the market there were instantly popular among diabetics & fitness freaks. But recent researches have shown them to be carcinogens. So next time u see the label ‘sugar free’ or ‘ diet ‘ on it never fall for it. All the sugar free things contain artificial sweeteners.

 

4.REFINED SUGAR.

Excess of refined sugar is also a risk. Sugar is like a ‘biryani ‘ to cancer cells & microbes.

5.PROCESSED MEAT.

Like that we see in burgers ,hot dogs , sausages. This contains high amount of salt , chemical , food additives.

6.SMOKED ,PICKELED ,SALTED FOOD.

All these foods have high amount of salt , nitrates,preservatives. These are proven risk factors for many gastrointestinal cancers.

7. FRIED POTATO( CHIPS, FRIES)

It’s a sad discovery for me . I love potato chips sooooo much. I almost started crying when I found out this thing. Potato chips & fries again have high amount of sodium , trans fat ,calories.

8.DIET FOODS.

I have mentioned them in artificial sweeteners but again they also have refined ingredients. In a journal I read that they are also risk factors for brain stroke.

9.CANNED FOOD.

Canned food has high amounts of preservatives. Some of the preservatives melt down the can material which has something called BP-A. This chemical is known to be dangerous. Especially canned tomatoes are at high danger because of high acidity.

10.HYDROGENATED OIL.

Or vanaspathi Once very famous in most homes it has lost popularity these days yet some are using it as an alternative to ghee.

 

11. SODAS, SOFT DRINKS

They have artificial colors, chemicals. One research said if you are taking more than two servings of frizzy drinks a week, you are 80% more at risk of gastrointestinal cancers.( god what would i drink in future).

12. CONTAMINATED VEGGIES, FRUITS.

I know how do you feel to know that even the foods that are labeled most healthy known to cause diseases.

Please guys do not look at me like that.  The pesticides they are using these days & the chemicals used to artificially ripen fruits are culprits. They won’t go away with simple washes. The foods which are most contaminated are apples,grapes, oranges, potatoes, strawberries.

13.FAST FOOD.

Most of the fast food outlets ( around the world) use pre used oil which high amounts of hydrogenated oil trans fat. They also have high amount of sodium.

Please do not freak out . Just watch what you eat. Lessen the servings of unhealthy food.
